Proximity switch

The proximity switches from Tiefenbach Control Systems cover a similar application range as magnetic switches. However, they are based on a completely different circuit principle. The proximity switches operate inductively using an oscillator. Therefore, it is not necessary to use a magnet to trigger the switching process. Approaching a metallic object is sufficient to produce a logical change between high and low levels at the output. This expands the application range of magnetic switches.
